Windows Future Proof Tour
The aim of the tour is to help students get ‘work place ready’ by giving the student visitors the opportunity to test out some key features available from Microsoft and Windows 7.
UWIC's UNICEF SOCIETY
UNICEF is mandated by the United Nations General Assembly to advocate for the protection of children's rights, to help meet their basic needs and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential.
UNICEF on campus UWIC society is an officially registered society run by UWIC students with different origins and backgrounds. We are also part of the UNICEF On Campus Wales - UNICEF On Campus Wales - an initiative that will bring together all UNICEF societies in universities across Wales.
We would like to emphasize the necessities of help and support for children around the world and raise funds for UNICEF via a variety of fundraising events.
With the help and support from UNICEF On Campus Cardiff and Wales, we hope to increase the size of the society and the number of events in 2011-2012.
Upcoming Events –
We are eagerly looking forward to organize fund raising events during the month of October - November 2011. We have not yet finalized what events we are going to organize, but the events would be definitely related to Sports, Rock Concerts or a Food festival at UWIC. Details of the events will follow shortly with the society's first meeting after the summer holidays.
UNICEF ON CAMPUS WALES - UWIC, is not a society run by individuals. We intend to make the society more public, which means every member is free to express their own opinions and ideas in running the society. A society where we intend to work as professionals, but in the friendliest way possible.
