The UNYSA-UWIC is a student society as an extension of the UNYSA which is the youth wing of the United Nations Association (UNA-UK). We bring together young people - college and university students - from across the UK who are passionate about the United Nations and its work to promote peace, development and human rights for all. Our aim is to build a better understanding of the UN, and to equip young people to play a more active role in international affairs and create the opportunities for them to do so.

UNYSA’s parent organisation, UK UNA-UK, is the UK’s leading source of independent
analysis on the United Nations - a UK-wide grassroots movement for the United Nations founded in 1945.

Together we are committed to working in support of a strong, credible and effective UN at the centre of an international system based on co-operation and the rule of law. UNA-UK advocates strong government support for the UN and aims to demonstrate why the UN matters.

We offer a range of events, including speaker events, workshops and conferences that give you further insight into the work of the United Nations. Hear firsthand accounts of how UN works on the ground! Or participate in one of the many Model United Nations (MUN) conferences organized across the country and abroad, which offer a realist example of how inter-state diplomacy on pressing international issues is conducted within the UN.  Other branches have organized educational field trips.
