The most exclusive student night in the city!
Cardiff Nightline
Cardiff Nightline is recruiting new members again at the moment. Its flexible way to do some voluntary work as you fit it in when you have the time and really does help other students. It also looks great on your CV and helps you develop skills that are useful both to prospective employers and in your everyday life.
Nightline is a confidential listening and information service run by students, for students. Cardiff Nightline serves Cardiff University, UWIC, RWCMD, and Glamorgan University. We can't give advice on what to do but instead try to help people to solve problems themselves by letting them talk to someone who will listen. We also supply any information that may be useful, ranging from which takeaways are still open to how to access other services such as counselling, NHS services or helplines.
As a volunteer you can help out when its suits you, we just ask that you do a minimum of one duty a month. A duty is from 8pm to 8am but there are beds in the house so you don't have to stay up all night and you will always be on with at least one experienced volunteer.
If you are interested, please e-mail cardiffnightline@hotmail.co.uk and we will send you a role description explaining what a Nightline volunteer actually does, and a person specification, so you can see if it is the right opportunity for you, along with an application form.
