Forest School Project

Tredegarville CIW Primary School in Cardiff would like a group of volunteers to help make the space into an area used for a Forest School Project.

Tasks for volunteers would include doing some weeding, tidying up the area and laying down some bark on the ground. You don’t have to be an experienced gardener to get involved in this project- the SU team will show volunteers what to do and you just need to be keen to do some basic gardening tasks. The school will provide volunteers with some tea and biscuits.

Once volunteers have laid down the bark, the school is going to place logs into a circle for the children to sit and learn about the natural environment. Forest School is unique method of outdoor education that allows children to develop confidence, independence, self-esteem awareness and knowledge of the natural environment.
