Computing Society


We are Computing Society, an umbrella for all of Cardiff Met's Computing activities

We welcome people from all backgrounds to join and take part; Come along and learn, or help out with others' projects. We host regular programming meets for everyone to build their skills, whether that's pointers for your university project or just messing around with your own personal ideas, we've got the space and resources to help you along. 

We also operate MetSec, a security group that learn and practice penetration testing and cyber security, events are public and everyone's welcome to come and learn how to protect yourself from attacks or how attackers get hold of your information and computer. MetSec is friendly to everyone, even if you have no prior experience with computers at all.

In order to process and activate your membership, your name and student number will need to be made available to the SU and committee members of the societies you wish to join. Your details will be used to effectively manage your membership and communicate with you events, activities and relevant society information. Should you wish to have your details removed, please contact the SU on societies@cardiffmet.ac.uk

As a member of a Club, Society or Student Group you are required to comply to the SU's Communications Policy for Student Groups.
