Full Time Year 5 Class Teacher (Temporary)

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner, someone who is dedicated to every child reaching their full potential, passionate about learning and keen to develop professionally.

Successful applicants will be someone who:

• Teaches clearly structured lessons which interest and motivate children and which are in line with school policies.
• Uses a range of interactive teaching methods and collaborative group work.
• Works as a member of a team and contributes positively to effective working relations.
• Is able to monitor, evaluate and support the overall progress and development of children as a class teacher.
• Is able to implement and deliver an appropriate, effective, relevant and differentiated curriculum for all children.
• Is able to facilitate and encourage learning experiences which provide children with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
• Is able to contribute to raising standards of children’s achievement and attainment.
• Is able to share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for children in relation to their personal, social, moral and development.

• Can make learning objectives clear to children.
• Promotes active and independent learning that encourages children to think for themselves and mange their own learning.
• Uses ICT effectively to support and enhance learning.
• Provides a positive role model for children.
• Establishes positive relationships with stakeholders.
• Is adaptable, resourceful and hard working with a good sense of humour.
