Key Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Housekeeping Supervisor, ensure that all facilities are fit for purpose in terms of cleanliness & readiness:
  • Vacuuming all rooms & corridors
  • Sweeping, mopping and polishing of uncarpeted floor surfaces
  • Dusting and polishing
  • Emptying wastepaper baskets
  • Changing beds
  • Storing and counting laundry
  • Periodic cleaning
  • Other tasks that may be required from time to time

 

  • Maintain high standards of presentation in all areas.
  • Ensuring standards of cleaning are maintained
  • Work within COSHH and HSE regulations at all times ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Promote good, pleasant customer relations in a professional manner.
  • Promote team working and a friendly working environment with colleagues
  • Attend meetings and training courses as required.


Key experience and knowledge required

  • Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience
  • Good organisational skills
  • An ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good practical knowledge of cleaning and housekeeping methods and equipment, or willingness to learn
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and its application to cleaning & housekeeping
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality
