Key Responsibilities
- In conjunction with the Housekeeping Supervisor, ensure that all facilities are fit for purpose in terms of cleanliness & readiness:
- Vacuuming all rooms & corridors
- Sweeping, mopping and polishing of uncarpeted floor surfaces
- Dusting and polishing
- Emptying wastepaper baskets
- Changing beds
- Storing and counting laundry
- Periodic cleaning
- Other tasks that may be required from time to time
- Maintain high standards of presentation in all areas.
- Ensuring standards of cleaning are maintained
- Work within COSHH and HSE regulations at all times ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Promote good, pleasant customer relations in a professional manner.
- Promote team working and a friendly working environment with colleagues
- Attend meetings and training courses as required.
Key experience and knowledge required
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience
- Good organisational skills
- An ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good practical knowledge of cleaning and housekeeping methods and equipment, or willingness to learn
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and its application to cleaning & housekeeping
- The ability to maintain confidentiality
