Details

Cardiff Met SU are looking for a passionate and motivated student with an interest in communication and technology to develop and lead on new ideas and projects within the SU. They will be part of a new team of six Part Time Officers reporting to the SU President and working closely with the Vice President, School Reps and SU staff.

The Communication and Technology Officer will be responsible for gathering feedback and representing student views on the technology resources available, including but not limited to use of Moodle and on campus equipment. This will be a key role in providing student feedback for the University’s review of communication with students and will also be a key asset within the Students’ Union to help enhance communication.

Responsibilities

  • Actively seek student feedback on University communications to feed into the review of communication with students

 

  • Use your networking and communication skills to actively seek feedback from a range of students across the University on digital resources and feed this through the appropriate channels

 

  • Form positive working relationships with student representatives making effective use of the student rep structure to ensure all students are represented and well informed on issues relating to communication and technology

 

  • Use effective communication skills and knowledge of technology and online platforms to support the Media and Design Manager to enhance SU communication with students

 

  • By building on positive working relationships with Library and Information Services you will enhance channels of communication and feedback between students and the department

 

  • As a member of the Moodle Development Group you will bring student views to discussions and communicate developments through student representative structures and to the SU

 

  • As a member of the Survey Communications Group you will bring the student view to discussions on the promotion of surveys and feedback opportunities and will lead the SU involvement on this promotional activity
