Role

Interns are an integral part of our National Events Team in delivering the operational requirements of the Company.
The roles available are for office based and on-site tasks including, but not limited to:


• Planning and preparation for events, including booking staff and office administration (including use of Microsoft Office and other
programmes)
• On-site live event administration
• Equipment management and tracking
• Employee Welfare
• Supporting the Portfolio manager and the management team
• Event Stewarding
• General Administration tasks


On-site working hours may include shifts up to 14 hours per day, depending on the event. This often includes unsociable hours and is
usually outdoor work. Events typically span 3-4 days over a weekend.


The successful applicant will receive full training for the role and will work on event and festival sites nationwide. This may include staying away from home for up to 2 weeks at a time. Accommodation on site varies and on festival sites is usually on-site camping. It is expected that the successful applicant will work at a minimum of 6 multi-day events over the summer.
 

Essential


The successful applicant will be:


• Able to work in an office environment in Watford, Leeds or Cardiff up to 5 days a week
• At least 18 years of age
• Be fully available for the term of the internship
• Flexible with working hours and willing to work over 48 hours per week
• Willing to learn and develop
• Have a basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
• Willing to travel nationwide for events
• Comfortable with shift work and unsociable hours
 

Desirable


The following attributes are desired, but not essential:


• Full UK driving licence and access to a car
• Experience/qualification in event stewarding or security
• Experience of major UK festivals and events
• Previous employment in an events role
• Able to conduct manual handling tasks of loads up to 15kg.
