Digital Marketing Consultant

You will be joining the existing sales team and will be responsible for converting incoming enquiries and qualifying leads, generating new sales and booking in appointments. You will initially be required to make contact with our database of prospects via telephone assessing their eligibility and following up the leads appropriately. Following this, with the support of the sales team you will be required to generate your own leads and convert them into new sales.

It is essential that you have experience of a B2B consultative sales process as well as experience of selling digital services. You must be able to evidence and quantify your ability to deliver results, retain clients and grow accounts.

With the help of our operational team you will diagnose clients’ online marketing challenges and recommend the most appropriate services to meet their target ROI. You will provide accurate and detailed proposals and help set clients’ expectations. You will work towards a monthly sales target and be responsible for the planning and recording of all activities. You will be self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously and under pressure whilst hitting deadlines.

To be considered for this role you must have a mature and professional attitude alongside considerable experience of office based sales. You should be comfortable communicating with people at all levels of seniority and more importantly be able to develop and maintain their trust and respect at all times. You must be confident in presenting and communicating with individuals and groups.

Job Specification

  • Role: Digital Marketing Consultant
  • Reports to: Managing Director
  • Probationary Period: 6 months
  • Hours: 39hrs per week
  • Salary: 20-25k dependent on experience + commission
  • Holiday Entitlement: 22 days + Birthday Benefits: Company Laptop, Company Mobile, Fuel & Expenses
  • FOLLOWING PROBATION PERIOD – Birthday off, monthly Netflix or Amazon subscription, % of annual Company Bonus, 3% employer pension contribution

Core Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate new business leads;
  • Qualify incoming leads and enquiries;
  • Create opportunities and leads thinking innovatively and using your initiative
  • Use the database to contact new leads, build rapport and establish relationships with prospects whilst qualifying them as a lead
  • Meet required KPI’s;
  • Accurately record all activity and meet given deadlines
  • Book and, where relevant attend meetings

Other than the experience outlined above you must be able to evidence:

  • At least 2 years previous sales experience in B2B sector (preferably marketing or web focused);
  • Ability to close sales opportunities;
  • Excellent negotiation skills and persuasiveness ; excellent telephone manner with the ability to set the appropriate tone for upcoming meetings
  • Possess a consultative approach to selling;
  • A strong networker with the ability to build relationships quickly;
  • Highly numerate and computer literate;
  • Ambitious and driven to achieve targets;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • A smart appearance and professional manner;
  • Full driving license;
  • A high quality and service ethic.
