People Management and Event Internship
Organisation Profile:
Hybu is a charity based in Cardiff and Newport. We provide opportunities for young people whatever their background or ability to attain their full potential via training and support to volunteer in local disadvantaged communities. They are trained in volunteering, leadership and entrepreneurial skills to proceed to design, develop and deliver activities and events to benefit others.
The role will involve:
- Working with Senior Development Officer and Group Leaders to support the adult volunteer staff
- Work with Group Leaders to support the young participants to organise their activities and events
- To manage the Health and Safety and Equality Issues within the activities and events
- Investigate and organise venues and necessary equipment for children’s activities
- Be involved with marketing and advertising events and activities
Skills Required:
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and organise information, keep detailed records
- Ability to motivate self and to work as a team
- IT skills

Additional Information:
- You must be wiling to undertake a DBS check
- Location of the internship is Cardiff and/or Newport
- Start date ASAP
- Contract Term : 1 year
- Hours 37 hours per week (flexible working times as some evening and weekend work required)
- Pay: £13,564.00 per annum
