Marketing Volunteer

Objective(s) of role

• To increase participation in Artis Community activities, in particularly dance timetable.
• To raise the profile of Artis Community and promote the organisation using social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube
• Achieve engagement with the community and generate website traffic

Tasks and Activities

• To optimise Artis Community pages within each social media platform
• Generate, edit, publish and share content that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
• Collaborate with the Artis team to manage reputation, identify key contacts and co-ordinate actions
• Compile a document of press contacts and other places to promote.
• Work within agreed parameters of confidentiality
• Submit details to local newspapers for ‘what’s on’.

Skills and Experience Needed

• Good experience in using social media, and in particular marketing
• Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
• Demonstrable social networking experience and (optional) social analytics tools knowledge
• Positive attitude, with good multitasking and organisational ability
• Local knowledge would also be valuable in this role.
