A BIT ABOUT US
Tendertec builds personalised technology that cares and improves the quality of life for
vulnerable people living alone. We have been awarded the GE Healthcare “Disruptive
Product” Award in December 2018, have just completed our first funding round and are
one of Vodafone’s 5G DIG Top 20 start-ups with the most potential to take advantage of
the advent of 5G internationally.
We want to make an impact
Tendertec was founded two years ago to tackle two challenges that our societies are
facing today: enabling a healthy and active lifestyle and improving the sustainability and
efficiency of healthcare.
We are purpose-driven
We are developing the next generation of personalised social and health care
technologies that aim to improve people’s lives and safeguard their access to affordable
health and care services.
We are a team
We believe that people are Tendertec’s biggest competitive advantage: we are creating
a people-first culture and are heavily invested in the success of those who join us in our Journey.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for methodical individual with strong attention to detail to annotate data
that would help build the next generation of machine learning based healthcare systems
at Tendertec. In doing so, you help thousands of vulnerable people who live alone across
the UK to stay independent, healthy and safe.
Your Day to Day
§ Work with Machine Learning Lead on annotation approaches and techniques.
§ Manually inspect logged sensor data and provide visual inspection
§ Annotate the data appropriately using software tools.
THE TEAM
At Tendertec, we are a bunch of people with different backgrounds, culture and
nationalities. We are a people-first tech company. We consider engineering quality of
paramount value and will always look for the most rigorous solution to a problem. As a
team, we strive to constantly improve our knowledge of infrastructure and systems, and
remove any blockers that may appear. We believe in supporting each of our team
members, love to pitch in when problems arise and give great peer feedback to help each
other grow.
THE FIT
Programming skills are not a requirement for this role and pretty much everyone can be
a data annotator as far as you enjoy technology and are willing to learn new tools. We
firmly believe extraordinary people can come from a wide range of places – but we
wouldn’t be surprised if the person who gets this role has:
• Excellent communications skills
• Detail-oriented
• Organised and an ability to work independently or as a team
• Ability to follow guidelines carefully and do time bound tasks with efficiency
• Ability to do repetitive tasks without degradation in quality
Nice to Haves: Experience with using Adobe After Effects, Interest in AI & Machine
Learning.
