Further to my previous statement on the UCU (Universities and Colleges Union) threat of a marking boycott, I would now like to inform you of recent updates to the situation.
Following meetings between UCU and the University and College Employers Association a new pay offer has been submitted to UCU's Higher Education Committee (HEC) to consider. UCU will be allowing it's HEC to vote on the proposed pay changes until the 1st of May and have therefore postponed the marking boycott until the 6th May allowing UCU HEC to consider the result.
