Equality and Diversity Part Time Officer

Cardiff Met SU are looking for a student who’s interest in equality and diversity can be brought to this valuable role as a champion for students and a leader for change. This will be a shared role working on existing initiatives and will be encouraged to bring new ideas and developments to the SU and University. They will be part of the team of Part Time Officers reporting to the SU President and working closely with the Vice President, School Reps and SU staff.

Global Part Time Officer

Cardiff Met has a growing population of international students studying in Cardiff as well as a large community of international partner institutions. This presents an exciting opportunity for all of our students to experience and learn from a range of cultures. We are looking for an engaging and enthusiastic student who will bring new ideas to engage and represent international students and bring the Cardiff Met community together.

On Ward Volunteer Activities Co-Ordinator

Falls, Strength and Balance. This service is being delivered in Llandough Hospital and St.Davids Hospital in partnership with ‘Move it or Lose it’. The sessions are delivered to patients (identified by the hospital) that would benefit from some gentle exercise to help prevent falls and enable participants to develop their strength with the aim of helping them to remain as independent as possible on their return home.

Repair Café Wales Volunteer

Can you sew? Are you IT or electronic savvy?… anything else in between? Then you can help us! Repair Café Wales are monthly pop-up events where volunteers fix household items for free in order to reduce waste, teach skills and bring the community together. Typical household items include toasters, kettles, clothing, toys, small furniture and basic bike maintenance. If you have any skills in the above areas we’d love your help. Its a great way to get in voluntary work and is a fantastic boost

University Team Leaders

The CATS Campaign raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of cancer in teenagers and young adults. To do this, we require the help of students to help us educate even more young people on what to look out for, and to encourage them to go to their GP. We are looking for students who are passionate about promoting the importance of being aware of your health, and amazing leaders to host fun and engaging events on their campus.
