The Cardiff Met Award Presentation Ceremony

On Tuesday 3rd June Vice Chancellor professor Antony Chapman presented the first ever Cardiff Met Award. 21 students put in a tremendous amount of effort over the last year to boost their employability and give themselves a fantastic head start for their future careers.

On Tuesday 3rd June Vice Chancellor professor Antony Chapman presented the first ever Cardiff Met Award. 21 students put in a tremendous amount of effort over the last year to boost their employability and give themselves a fantastic head start for their future careers.

All of them have completed 100 hours work experience, undertaken 7 hours of team work and communication activities, attended 5 workshops, written a 1000 word reflective report and made a presentation to an interview panel.

The celebration of their achievements took place at City Hall where guests heard speeches from the Vice Chancellor, the Students’ Union Chief Executive Mike Davies and Training and Development Manager Hannah Reilly. Claire Thomas a final year Psychology student who received the award was invited to present at the event and shared her Cardiff Met Award experience.
