Cardiff Met Women's Cricket claimed three wins from three games on Sunday 23rd November to bank themselves a place in the BUCS Indoor Cricket Semi Finals. Their opposition were Cardiff, Aberystwyth and Bath. The victories means they progress through to the BUCS Semi Finals. We caught up with scholar Carla Rudd following the unbeaten weekend.

My average week consists of 8.5 hours lectures, plus my training which looks like this:
Monday: 45 minutes endurance session and 1 hour weights
Tuesday: 30 minutes endurance session, 1 hour and a half 1-1 skills session.
Wednesday: 30 minutes endurance session, 20 minutes speed work and 20 minutes upper body strength session. 1 hour 1-1 skills session
Thursday: 45 minutes endurance session
Friday: 1 hour weights, 30 minutes endurance session, 20 minutes speed work.
Saturday: rest
Sunday: 45 minute endurance session, 1 hour group skills session.
Most memorable sporting moment: Being selected for England U17 to tour to South Africa as this was my first time representing my country and it was a great feeling putting on an England shirt for the first time.
How is your season going: It is just training season at the moment, but I am working hard in my sessions to achieve my winter goals and to ensure Im ready for the summer competitions. My first tour to Spain is in a few weeks time with the England Academy, so my goal at the moment is to ensure I am fit and ready for this so I get the most from it.
