Campus Sport's Fancy Dress Tournament returned to NIAC after last year's success. Hear how it went and check out this year's photos.
On Wednesday the 17th December NIAC hosted this year's Fancy Dress Mixed Netball Tournament. 10 teams entered featuring teams from Men's and Women's Rugby, Men's and Women's Football, Athletics and various other enthusiastic students. The tournament is now in its second year and continues to grow in popularity, with over 90 students attending this year. After some fun and competitive group games, the final saw a tense and tough match up between Men's Rugby and Men's Football both featuring some helpful guest appearances from the Netballers themselves. The teams battled till the last minute, giving everything to be crowned champions but only one team could come out on top and the well deserved winners this year were Men's Rugby beating Men's Football 7-6 in the tense final.
Lucy Fray, one of the tournament organisers expressed the Netball teams appreciation towards all the teams that took part this year and praised the level of enthusiasm that was seen throughout. She thanked everyone on behalf of Cardiff Met Netball and said they were surprised with the amount of support that was shown, and the number of teams that entered.
