Help students 'Get it out for Cardiff'

Environmental Champions is a voluntary action group that works on sustainability initiatives and campaigns. The group supports 'Get it out for Cardiff's' aim to maximise recycling of re-usable items. Volunteers help educate student tenants about how to dispose of their end of term items, and help Cardiff Council staff to organise and sell donations to students in the new academic year.

You are welcome to join the Environmental Champions and help out in the following ways;

- Spreading the world, talking to students and local residents to let them know about the campaign and how to dispose of their end of term re-cycling and reuse items. We will be targeting the following areas on the following dates:

Plasnewydd - 26th, 27th and 28th May

Gabalfa- 2nd and 3rd June

Cathays- 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th June

All walkabouts start at 4pm until 6pm. Please meet at 4pm in the SVC office on the second floor of Cardiff Students' Union.

 

Other ways to volunteer for Get it out for Cardiff

Organising kitchen equipment, preparing items for the re-sales- 4 days in August/early September (to be confirmed)

Selling donations at the Kitchen Resales at Cardiff University SU and Cardiff Metropolitan University, raising money for the YMCA- three dates in September during Freshers week.
