Who is SVC?
Skills and Volunteering Cymru (SVC) is an independent charity based in Cardiff that has been running for 48 years. We run over 30 varied and engaging projects in Cardiff, Rhondda Cynnon Taff, and the Vale of Glamorgan, which support adults and children with disabilities and/or mental health conditions, the elderly, young carers, and the homeless.
What sort of projects do we run?
We have a wide range of projects for you to volunteer on here at Skills and Volunteering Cymru (SVC). As well as running our own projects, we work closely with partner organisations such as the NHS, South Wales Police, Innovate Trust, and Cardiff Council to deliver projects that support various groups throughout the community. We also offer flexible volunteering opportunities such as one-off volunteering, weekly, fortnightly or monthly volunteering. The majority of our projects work alongside the academic year, making it easier for you to volunteer. This is a great opportunity to get involved in the running of a charity and to make a difference in vulnerable people’s lives, as well as gaining valuable experience for future employment.
