Adult Befriending (Digital):
SVC are looking for volunteers for their adult befriending (digital) project, befriending adults with disabilities via; phone, video call etc. The aim of this project is to help relieve feelings of boredom, loneliness and isolation and offer social and emotional enrichment to beneficiaries through befriending.
Volunteers will need to undertake weekly catch ups with their beneficiary, this may include a phone call or undertaking activities via video call, dependent on the needs and interests of the beneficiary.
We currently have 3 volunteering opportunities available. Due to the needs of the beneficiaries, we will conduct informal interviews with all applicants, so we can try to match the volunteer and beneficiary as best we can.
Please note: registering interest in the project does not automatically ensure you a place on the project. Once we have conducted an interview, we will confirm whether we have been able to match you with a beneficiary or not.
