Role Summary:
To coordinate the admissions processes for Postgraduate, Part Time and
Research programmes.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- To undertake all the administration associated with postgraduate, part time and research admissions.
- To make and input decisions for postgraduate and part time applications on the admissions application and tracking system
- To coordinate applicant Advice Sessions in conjunction with the related Academic school as required
- To organise the tracking and maintenance of records of individual student data. To ensure the accuracy of these records within the corporate based Management Information System as well as assisting with system administration.
- To deal with enquiries, correspondence and internal and external communications in relation to applications and course enquiries.
- To be responsible for making the arrangements for interviewing specific course applicants.
- To prepare and produce statistical data as required.
- To act as a Liaison Officer between the Admissions Section and the Course Directors within Cardiff Met’s academic schools.
- To prepare and coordinate the issuing of joining packs for the new student intake, in conjunction with Cardiff Met’s Academic Schools.
- To carry out Criminal Records Bureau procedures for applicants according to DBS guidelines.
- Attending relevant part time and postgraduate fairs and events in relation to marketing programmes.
- To assist with other admissions related tasks as required.
Additional Duties
- To assist in the organisation of events and activities as required.
- To fulfil any other duties that may reasonably be required from time to time by the Admissions Manager or by the Head of the unit.
