Details

To provide support for the Assistant Registrar (Superintendent of Examinations) and to adopt a flexible approach in providing support in the facilitation of examinations.

 

Examination Invigilators:

  • To take custody of and responsibility for the delivery of all appropriate documentation, including examination question papers to the examination venue.
  • To ensure that only authorised students are admitted to the Examination venue.
  • To verbally inform students of the regulations and requirements governing the conduct of the examination.
  • To distribute examination scripts, question papers and associated documentation and examination attendance slips as required.

 

  • To begin the examination at the published time.
  • To maintain a constant supervision over the candidates under their charge and ensure that they are provided with the necessary documentation as prescribed on the examination question paper.
  • To inspect all books brought into the examination to ensure that there are no notes or other unauthorised materials which could be considered as suspected unfair practice.
  • To ensure that candidates comply with the “Conduct of Examinations” regulations.
  • To be responsible for the application of the regulations governing cases of suspected unfair practice and to ensure that the Superintendent of Examinations or his/her representative is kept fully informed of such cases.
  • To end the examination and collect all scripts and associated documentation including examination attendance slips.
  • To ensure that the number of scripts collected tallies with the number of candidates who have sat the examination and the number of student receipt slips.
  • To be responsible for the custody and delivery of the examination scripts and associated documentation to the Superintendent of Examinations or his/her representative.
  • To complete an “Invigilator Report” at the end of every examination and for the delivery of that report to the Superintendent of Examinations or his/her representative.
  • To attend any subsequent enquires regarding suspected cases of unfair practice for which any reasonable expenses will be paid.
