Student Elections

The Students’ Union’s elections are your opportunity to lead your SU; by either standing for one of our Student Leader's positions or voting on who you think should be representing you to the university. Every year you elect several students who will run campaigns on your behalf and challenge the university to make life better for students.

SU Elections

The SU elections are your opportunity to become part of the Student Leadership team as either a Full-time Officer (one of the Presidents), a School Representative or a Student Officer. These roles all sit on the SU Forum and will make decisions which impact your academic and recreational experience at Cardiff Met.

The SU runs elections throughout the year, with our next main student leadership election taking place in March 2027. On this page you will find all the information related to the elections; positions available, how to apply, and results.

If you would like to submit a complaint about either a candidates or the SU's conduct during an election. Please fill out the following form and then send it to representation@cardiffmet.ac.uk
