Black History Month UK, a non-profit organisation, who work to:
- Recognise the historic and contemporary contributions of black people in Britain.
- Support accurate ,inclusive and accessible education.
- Provide a trusted national platform for community voices.
- Preserve lived experience for future generations.
The theme of Black History Month this year is Honouring our communities, focusing on the impact and recognition of contributions and actions that hold communities together.
Cardiff Met SU Communities
At Cardiff Met SU, we thrive on creating diverse communities for students from all backgrounds to enhance student experience at Cardiff Met. We have a range of communities you can join including SU Sports Clubs & SU Societies.
We have 12 sites globally with a combination of over 15,000 students across 13 different cultures. By offering Cardiff Met courses on a global scale, we celebrate being a multicultural campus. Additionally, we have networks that advocate and empower our minority communities across all campuses.

What's On?
Mini DzFest is coming to Llandaff Campus to explore the region’s history, identity and cultural heritage. Through talks, films and discussion, attendees will explore themes including cultural ownership, colonial impact, heritage preservation and the role of artisans in keeping traditions alive.

The SU are also offering workshops with Race Equality First; an organisation focused on building awareness around equal opportunities and combatting racial discrimination. You can book onto the workshops through the SU website.
