Created and delivered by SU President – Affairs and Community, Venky Gonavaram along with Cardiff Met SU and University teams, 300 students and staff came together to celebrate the festival of light for an evening of pooja, fashion show, food, desi music and dancing.
We recently celebrated Diwali on Monday 24th October and what a success it was!
Created and delivered by SU President – Affairs and Community, Venky Gonavaram along with Cardiff Met SU and University teams, 300 students and staff came together to celebrate the festival of light for an evening of pooja, fashion show, food, desi music and dancing.
On behalf of the students’ and myself, Dhanyavad (Thank you) to Cardiff Met SU and the University for giving me this opportunity to organise the event and making students feel at home through the desi music and ethnic wear fashion show to provide cultural representation on the night.
This is first time that I have enjoyed Diwali in the UK and it made me feel like home at campus.
