A Celebration for Reps, Societies & Cardiff Met Award Students

On Wednesday 27th April, the Students’ Union hosted the Student Achievement Awards in Zen on the Llandaff campus. The ceremony honoured our reps, societies and those who have completed the Cardiff Met Award.

Attendees were treated to a three course meal and entertainment was provided by PGCE student, Emma Winter, who sang for everyone.

During the night, awards were given to student reps, recognising the hard work and effort that they put into the representation structure.

We also gave out Society Awards, celebrating the student committees who put their time and effort into running the societies, helping to enrich many students’ experience at university.

Certificates were presented to those students who have completed the Cardiff Met Award. Now in its 3rd year, the Cardiff Met Award is an excellent opportunity for students to not only build up their skills and experience for the future but to grow in confidence, start to build a professional network and improve their self-awareness. As part of the award, students were required to do100 hours work experience, 5 workshops, 2 reflections and an interview and presentation.

We would like to congratulate all the winners and thank everyone who attended and presented on making it such a successful evening.
