The report proposed a change in the current HE loan system to ensure students are equipped for the cost of living. This is a Welsh Government initiative that will affect Welsh domicile students who access funding through Student Finance Wales.
Students who have signed up to Student Finance Wales under the current system will remain on their current fee plan to ensure they are not disadvantaged.
Consultations will take place in the following months regarding the proposed changes. The Students’ Union will actively participate in this process to ensure the student voice is heard.
