Underground Music

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN THE UNDERGROUND MUSIC SOCIETY

UNFORTUNATELY THIS SOCIETY DOES NOT HAVE A STUDENT COMMITTEE LEADING THEM FOR 2023/24

THE SOCIETY WILL STILL HAVE FUNDS IN THEIR ACCOUNT AND MEMBERS WANTING AND WAITING TO JOIN TO BECOME AN ACTIVE SOCIETY AGAIN.

SHOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN RUNNING THE SOCIETY THE COMMITTEE CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING ROLES:

Chair / President – the chair acts as the principal officer and spokesperson for the society

Secretary – the secretary’s prime function is the administrate the running of the society.

Treasurer - the treasurer has responsibility for the financial affairs of the society.

This society is a hub for those interested in becoming a DJ, or to anyone interested in the underground music scene of Cardiff.

ALL ABILITIES WELCOME

This society lost momentum due to covid, so this year we are looking to re boost it and make it bigger than before. If you want to be involved in this, drop us a message on our instagram - afterhourscardiff or email joegasson@icloud.com. We will be at the freshers fair if you want to meet us in person or ask any questions.

Whats our plan?

Regular DJ sessions - We will be looking to host fornightly studio sessions in Pirate Studios. This is a great place to learn or practice on club standard equipment, and allows us to play as loud as we like.

Socials - We will be looking to host socials before big events as a place to meet like minded people before a rave/event.

Parties - We will be hosting our own, multi-genre parties where you can practice playing out to a crowd and also meet new people

Events - Our aim is to host our own events in local Cardiff venues to boost up and coming DJs, we will also be looking to get on lineups of bigger events

Your details will be used to effectively manage your membership and communicate with you events, activities and relevant society information.
