The Cardiff Met Poker Society is officially up and running for the 2023/2024 academic year.

Welcome to Cardiff Met's Poker Society! Whether you're an ace at the table or a complete novice, our vibrant community welcomes all. We gather weekly on campus, not just to play, but to learn, socialize, and share in the love of the game. If you're new to poker or simply want to understand the game better, we have sessions dedicated to teaching the basics and advanced strategies.

While we're all about the strategy and thrill of poker, we also prioritize the camaraderie. You don’t have to be a seasoned player to join; many members come just to enjoy the social aspect and the lively discussions that ensue. Remember, it's as much about the people as it is about the cards!

Though gambling is strictly prohibited on campus, our society extends beyond its boundaries with off-campus 'events'. These special gatherings offer more opportunities for those seeking a competitive setting.

As we gear up to compete against other universities in the poker league, there's a prestigious cup waiting for the victors. But beyond the competition, we're deeply committed to promoting responsible gaming. We're proactive about raising gambling addiction awareness and offering unwavering support to any member who might need it.

In essence, whether you're here to play, learn, or just mingle, Cardiff Met's Poker Society is a place of inclusion, fun, and support. Always remember: play for the love of the game, play responsibly, and cherish the friendships formed along the way.
