Running Society
Welcome to the Running Society!
We're a new society which launched in September 2023.
Although we are a "running" society, there's more of an emphasis on making friends, going for coffees, eating lots of cake...and keeping active. We don't worry about speed or ability, we're just proud of you for turning up! We aim to make running something to look forward to, a way to make memories and have fun. There's zero pressure, just encouragement :)

We also do lots of socials! Sober and with alcohol, you can expect to see things like parties, nights out, meals, coffees and more!
We will communicate via a Whatsapp group - details will be sent in the "welcome" email.
We have a fabulous merchandise range, including T-shirts and hoodies. The link to this will also be sent in the "welcome" email. There is no requirement to buy these, it's just a lovely way to spot people you know at events like Parkrun, and a way to show that you're a member of the best society ;)

In order to process and activate your membership, your name and student number will need to be made available to the SU and committee members of the societies you wish to join. Your details will be used to effectively manage your membership and communicate with you events, activities and relevant society information. Should you wish to have your details removed, please contact the SU on societies@cardiffmet.ac.uk
As a member of a Club, Society or Student Group you are required to comply to the SU's Communications Policy for Student Groups. Any breach of this Policy may affect your membership and further disceplinary action may be taken.
