Welcome to the Cardiff Met Travel, Language and Culture society!

As of September 2017 we are an official approved society, we are operating both within the university and outside to create a community of like-minded people interested in learning languages and experiencing culture.

The TLC society would like to connect students from all different cultures and backgrounds to involve international students from across the globe. If you are looking to learn or teach a language, improve your English and have the opportunity to travel with friends you have come to the right place!

At the moment, we are working on:

  • Trying to get as many students as possible interested in the society so we have a large network of students who we can connect.

  • Get our members to let us know the languages they would like to learn/teach.

  • Organising a date for our first official meeting where we can hear your requests for the society!

  • Pair students up in a ‘Language Café’ event to allow them to practice their desired language!

In order to process and activate your membership, your name and student number will need to be made available to the SU and committee members of the societies you wish to join. Your details will be used to effectively manage your membership and communicate with you events, activities and relevant society information.
