Frequently Asked Questions:

What events do you do?

Check out all of our events here: Upcoming Events

We host casual games events online throughout the weeks featuring games such as Jackbox Party Pack, Gartic Phone, Among Us, skribbl.io and Codenames. We also have our own Minecraft server that anyone can join. (crossplay between PC and Console players)

We run tabletop games such as D&D one-shots and campaigns (online and in-person), Settlers of Catan (colonist.io) and we often hold events at board game cafes in Cardiff town centre.

We do more casual meetups too in bars like NQ64 and Weatherspoons where members can sometimes get free drinks!

We take part in competitive esports tournaments throughout the year, the tournament schedule is below. To take part fill out the sign-up form in the Discord for whichever game you'd like!

Can my friends who aren't in Cardiff Met join in?

Non-met people are welcome to join the Discord, Minecraft server and casual events!

Unfortunately non-met people cannot join esports teams or play in tournaments, those players must be current Cardiff Met students.

What do I get from being a member?

The membership for the society is £5. This gives you priority access to any physical and virtual events that we host for everyone. You also gain access to member only events, which are both physical and virtual. Members enjoy extra perks on our free-to-play Minecraft server (for a full list, see our Discord).

Notify a comittee member of your membership purchase so you can get the correct role on Discord.

What does my membership money go towards?

Your money helps to keep the society running! It helps us to organise events at paid locations, buy you drinks and paying for our Minecraft server.

Thank you for supporting our society!
