ART SOCIETY

The Art Society is your space to relax, meet people, and get creative without pressure. Whether you study art, make art in your spare time, or just want to be around creative people, everyone’s welcome here.

This year has been one of our biggest yet. We were nominated for multiple Students’ Union awards, hosted our first Charity Pub Quiz Night raising money for Llamau, packed out socials and workshops, and built a genuinely supportive creative community across Cardiff Met.

Throughout the year we run a mix of events including Drink & Draws, creative workshops, gallery visits, quiz nights, casual socials, and bigger nights out too. This year we introduced pub crawls, themed socials, and drinking nights alongside our usual relaxed meet-ups, so whether you want a chilled evening drawing with friends or a louder night out, there’s something for everyone.

Most of our events take place around Llandaff campus and Cardiff city centre, but if enough people are interested, we’d love to bring more events over to Cyncoed too.

One of the best parts of joining is the community itself. Members will get access to our Teams channel where you can keep up with events, meet other members, share your work, hear about opportunities, and stay connected throughout the year. It’s a really easy way to meet people, especially if you’re new to Cardiff Met.

At the end of the day, Art Society is just about having fun, meeting good people, and making university feel a little more creative.
