About Us
The Art Society is a welcoming community for anyone who enjoys being creative.
You don't have to study Fine Art, be an experienced artist, or even consider yourself "good" at art to join. Whether you paint every day, doodle in your lecture notes, enjoy visiting galleries, or simply want to meet creative people, there's a place for you.
Our aim is to make creativity accessible, social, and fun. We bring together students from every course and every level to create, learn new skills, unwind after lectures, and make lasting friendships. Art Society is as much about the people as it is the artwork.
Over the past academic year (25/26) we've grown into one of Cardiff Met's most active societies, receiving multiple Students' Union award nominations, raising money for Llamau through our Charity Society Showdown Quiz Night, collaborating with other societies, and creating a supportive community that continues to grow.
We run a huge variety of events throughout the year, so there's something for everyone, whether you're looking for a quiet creative evening or a lively social.

Most of our events take place around Llandaff Campus and Cardiff city centre, making them easy to get to after lectures. As the society grows, we're hoping to expand and bring even more events to Cyncoed too.
Whether you're joining for the art, the socials, or a bit of both, you'll always find something to look forward to.
