Speak Week 2024

If you Ran the university, What would you Change?

 

Cardiff Met SU Speak Week ran from the 19th to the 23rd February, and we collected over 500 responses from our student members. Now we will review the data and look at how different students are experiencing their academic life at Cardiff Metropolitan University Students. We will use this information to support and challenge the university as their critical friend in improving the Cardiff Met experience. 

We will compile a report of student responses and make them available to the wider academic community shortly. We'd like to thank University colleauges in providing the spaces for us to conduct this activity, and also all our students who engaged in Speak Week.

What is Speak Week?

Speak Week is an SU initiative that Students' Unions across the country run in an effort to ensure the work we undertake on your behalf is as relevant as possible. From the data gathered we can zero in on specific issues affecting different demographics in the university, so we can make sure you are having the best academic experience possible.

We ask for data surrounding your school, year of study, and a set of characteristics - we do this so we can ensure that we can target and support different groups across the university to ensure an equal experience. 

 

I Want to make a policy or Campaign Through the SU, Where do i GO?

Your Students' Union is led by students like you, and at any point in the year you can submit a policy to your Student Leadership Team. If you are interested in carrying this out, you can check out our Student Ideas page here
