Club Background

Cardiff Met Cycling Club compete in Track cycling, Road cycling, Time Trialling and Downhill mountain biking.

Our main focus is to compete at BUCS events but we also look to support entry into local events for students to gain race experience.

We are blessed with the perfect cycling terrain in South Wales for both road cycling with the Valleys mountain climbs, miles of quiet country lanes, and ideal flat roads towards Newport which lead to the Newport Velodrome.  There are also excellent mountain bike parks such as Bike Park Wales and Afon Argoed bike park which are only short drives away.

Membership to the club includes a Cardiff Met Cycling top, Membership to a British Cycling affiliated Club, and access to the Wattbikes at the Cyncoed Fitness Centre.
