Basketball - Wheelchair

The club fees are for the 2021/22 academic year. Fees are set by the club and are subject to change the following academic year.

Club Overview

Anyone can play Wheelchair Basketball, you don’t necessarily have to be disabled to play. All students are welcome to come to the training sessions where you will find disabled and non-disabled people taking part together. If you are willing to jump into one of the sports wheelchairs, then you are able to play!

It is a fast, physical and challenging sport being played worldwide by thousands of people. It encompasses a number of key skills that create fun competition for all. Cardiff Met Wheelchair Basketball Club is the newest and most exciting club set up within Cardiff Met's Students' Union and focuses on competition and socialising. You do not need any previous experience to play.

We arrange friendly games when possible and in 2016 we entered the British Wheelchair Basketball University Championships finishing in 7th place out of 16 teams. Some teams including Team GB players!

If you would like to try wheelchair basketball come along to training and have a go!

Tuesday: 8:30-9.30pm (NIAC)
