Aussie Rules

Aussie Rules became a recognised sport at Cardiff Met in 2019

Our team competes in the National University League against Oxford, Birmingham and Cambridge Universities.

Each team competes in 3 tournaments consisting of 2 x 40 min games on the day to try qualify for the Grand Finals in March.

Games are 9-aside on a rugby pitch with rolling subsititions.

From each team there is a chance to prove yourself and qualify for the NUL All-Stars team consisting of the best players from the four universities to compete against the very best AFL players from Irish Universities. In the first All-Stars squad our university had 2 x mens players and 5 x womans players.

1 - Birmingham in November

2 - Cardiff in December

3 - Cambridge in January

4 - Fitzpatrick Cup - Cardiff in February

5 - Grand Final - @TBC in March (if qualify)

6 - All-Stars - Easter Weekend (if qualify)

(If membership is set at £00.00 this does not mean the club will not administer their own fees)
