Win £500 by holding an event at an su venue
After the success of our EPIC Events competition in previous years, we are gearing up for its fourth year! This is a chance for YOU, the students to organise some of the biggest events held in your S.U. venues and be in with a chance of winning a £500 prize! In addition this year we will be running Epic Events in support of the Lord Mayor of Cardiff’s nominated charity – Velindre Cancer Centre.
This is a fantastic opportunity to exercise your entrepreneurial skills, have a say in your union and to take advantage of either of the brilliant venues that the SU has to offer. Maybe you’ll host a coffee morning, a Superbowl night, a fashion show, a quiz night or art exhibition, whatever it is, make it Epic!!
In previous years we have had a wide variety of entries such as a Take Me Out Night, Murder Mystery Night, Hypnotist, Christmas On The Beach, Comedy Nights, Full Moon Party and Open Mic Night to name but a few and last year’s winners ran a hugely successful 90s themed night at Zen Bar, with everyone dressing up in 90s gear and doing some very dodgy moves to some very dodgy music!
Simply come up with an idea for your EPIC event and present it to the Students’ Union, then together with the support of the SU, organise your event and watch it come together! Get your thinking caps on and organise a memorable event for you and your fellow students at your SU venue of choice and you could be in with a chance of winning a £500 prize if your event wins our Epic Events competition!
