What’s Involved

All our activity staff are RESIDENTIAL and attend a training / induction weekend prior to commencement of duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Report to and liaise with the Activity Manager.
• Help with the preparation, planning and presentation of the activity programme.
• Prepare and Help set up a wide range of activities, which may include sports, music, drama, quizzes, discos and off-campus visits and excursions.
• Supervise, accompany and lead students on all activities to include full and half-day excursions.
• Supervise students during meals, on lesson breaks and when in halls of residence on a rota based system.
• Be enthusiastic and committed to the welfare and safety of students, at all times.
• Encourage students to use English as much as possible.
• Ensure that a risk assessment has been read, signed and updated if necessary before the start of each activity.
• Inform students and check their understanding of any risks before the start of every activity.
• Liaise with the Anglo + coordinator to deliver a challenging and successful Anglo + program.
• Read and follow the guidelines and rules set out in all activity staff manuals and handbooks.
• Wear the Anglo uniform and promote Anglo’s ethos.
• All our staff work 6 days a week including weekends, with one day off during the week.
• In accordance with safeguarding legislation, all Activity staff are required to complete the online Basic Awareness Safeguarding Training and attend a face to face safeguarding training session before arrival at centre.

Based in the UK
Eligible to live and work in the UK
Native or native level English speaker

Desirable:

First Aid qualification
Experience working with young international students
Computer literate
London Knowledge
Tour guiding experience
Enthusiasm for sight seeing

About Anglo Ltd (Anglo)

ANGLO offers English Summer Courses for 10-17 year-olds. We are accredited by the British Council for the Teaching of English in the UK, and our team has many years of experience in the EFL and Outdoor Activity Industries.

Our summer courses run for two to four weeks in June, July and August and are based at carefully selected university and college campuses across the UK, USA and Ireland.

Our students receive 17.5 hours of English language tuition each week together with the Anglo + Programme which ensures students make the most of their stay in the UK.

This combination helps to create a memorable programme of recreational activities and provide valuable additional opportunities for students to practise their English with new friends from around the world.
