Details

The successful candidate should have ballet and tap experience to a minimum of Grade 5 in any examining board (RAD, BBO, ABD, ISTD etc.) or equivalent experience. Dance teaching qualifications are not essential.

Teacher should have access to a car in order to transport props to classes each week. 

Must be confident and comfortable working with very small children and their parents. 

Must be reliable, committed and professional.

Our classes run during school term time in blocks of 5/6 week terms. Our teachers are expected to teach every week within the term. Additional classes can be arranged for successful candidates who work hard and build their classes successfully. 

Classes take our pupils on a learning journey each week through a theme based approach. Our themes include: Animals, Under the Sea, The Weather, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Circus etc. All lesson plans, music and props are provided termly. 

A Tiny Toes Ballet Teaching job provides excellent opportunities for graduates and 3rd year students and is a great alternative to supply teaching- £100 per Saturday morning. Flexible working hours can be arranged to fit in with further studies. Our current teaching staff include Primary School Teachers (some still teaching full time), ex professional dancers, Dance Degree students (3rd year) and Dance Degree graduates. Our Newport and Abergavenny branch currently teaches 200 pupils per week. As a company we strive to implement the latest dance teaching and educational techniques and programmes, we are currently implementing dance training from The Royal Ballet School in London and are piloting a schools scheme to link with the new creative curriculum in Wales.
