Communications Part Time Officer

Cardiff Met SU are looking for a passionate and motivated student with an interest in communication to develop and lead on new ideas and projects within the SU. They will be part of a new team of six Part Time Officers reporting to the SU President and working closely with the Vice President, School Reps and SU staff.

With communication being a broad area of interest the focus of this role will be lead by the successful candidates own skillset and previous experience. The Communications Officer may prioritise the use of social media and online content creation or they may chose to focus on the analysis of student interactions with SU communications. Working with the SU team this role will help to develop the SU brand and enhance stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Use effective communication skills and knowledge of online platforms to support the Web Designer and Communication Coordinator to enhance SU communication with students

• Actively seek student feedback on University communications to feed into the review of communication with students

• Form positive working relationships with student representatives making effective use of the student rep structure to ensure all students are represented and well informed on issues relating to communication
