SVC’ sister charity Innovate Trust has several catering arms including;
Green Shoots: a social firm offering training and employment opportunities to young people who face barriers to employment.
Park View Café: based opposite the beautiful Victoria Park in Canton, serving up delicious home cooked meals plus providing a supportive environment to teach adults with disabilities to learn new skills.
The Tea Spot Café: based in the heart of Cardiff City Centre, serving delicious snacks and cakes, whilst supporting adults with disabilities to learn catering skills.
Why do we need you?
Innovate Trust’s Catering Manager is looking for a volunteer to help put these businesses on the map! The role will cover several areas including -
Developing current, and establishing new, Social Media presence (Facebook, Twitter, Trip Advisor).
Designing and implementing questionnaires to gain feedback from customers, and look at ways to attract new customers.
Take photos of the businesses and use these to promote the wonderful work they undertake, plus the delicious food on offer.
Help to input a filing system, and databases to record key information.
Suggest new ideas to increase the online presence of these businesses, for example, blogs, newsletters, competitions etc.
Who would this role suit?
A friendly, approachable and flexible volunteer
Good IT skills, with a sound knowledge of Social Media
Confident in producing and conducting surveys
Location, Commitmentand Expenses
The role will be primarily based in the office at the Park View Café in Canton, with the option to also undertake tasks at home. Ideally we’re seeking a volunteer who can commit to 4 hours a week (however days and times are really flexible).
As a small thank-you, scrumptious food will be supplied when volunteering, travel costs reimbursed and references supplied for committed volunteers : )
