Continuing our development of mental health support

This Tuesday we marked World Mental Health Day and launched our new initiative with Student Minds

On Tuesday 10th October we celebrated World Mental Health Day and were delighted to take the opportunity to launch our new initiative with Student Minds.

Student Minds are dedicated to giving students the knowledge, confidence and skills needed to support peers experiencing mental health difficulties. They provide outstanding training and ongoing support to all of their volunteers.

We are looking for 10 students to help us take this forward and become ‘Positive Minds Facilitators’

Volunteering with them will help you build and develop a variety of skills, including leadership skills, and provide you with an opportunity to show that you are passionate about helping other people. The opportunity is funded by your Students’ Union and is worth over £1600!

Are you motivated, enthusiastic and keen to develop new skills while supporting peers facing mental health difficulties? If so, we’d love to hear from you - find more information about the role on our jobshop now.
