Details

The purpose of this Campaign is:

  • To raise money for the Development Fund
  • To enhance communication between Cardiff Met and it’s Alumni.

All Alumni who we intend to call will receive a letter in advance letting them know that a student will be calling to ask them to make a donation to the Development Campaign and to update them on Cardiff Met’s news and forthcoming events.  Everyone will be given the opportunity to opt-out if they do not wish to receive a phone call.

You will be based at School of Management, Llandaff Campus

Further Benefits

You will be trained comprehensively.  You will learn about running a marketing campaign from start to finish, as well as how to make the calls, so this is excellent work experience for almost any future career. This is a tremendous job to put on your CV and the Development Office will act as referee.

Duties

Callers will telephone selected Alumni to:

  • Update them on Cardiff Met’s news and activities;
  • Engage them in conversation about their time at Cardiff Met and get their feedback on events, and publications;
  • Ask them for a gift to the Development Fund.

Callers will need to keep an accurate (and legible!) record of all the calls they make.

Callers will write short thank-you notes to every Alumni they speak to.

Person Specification

Do you enjoy chatting to people? Do you have an outgoing, pleasant and friendly manner? Calling should be enjoyable for both callers and Alumni!  Reliability and self-confidence are important, as are tact and discretion; all personal information must be treated as confidential beyond the calling room.

If you are this person then this job is for you!
