The Undergraduate Research & Employability Conference will take place on Thursday 2nd of June and is an opportunity for students showcase their academic work in a conference environment. Students can present an independent piece of research, such as the dissertation, in either a poster or oral presentation format.

The conference is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your study whilst networking with staff and students from all 5 schools, alumni members who can share their experiences of the graduate market and external organisations.

The event will consist of a poster presentation session, with 50 student speakers, 10 selected from each school, and two oral presentation session that will consist of 5 student speakers, 1 from each school. There will also be an exhibitors fair to promote relevant internal services that enable students to maximise their professional and personal development, practical workshops and refreshments offered during the networking event.

Applications for student speakers close at 4pm on April 27th. A selection panel in each school will choose the successful applicants to present at the conference. The application process consists of a 300-word abstract that provides an overview of the project to be presented and a 200-word personal statement on why the student would like to be selected. Presentations will need to be submitted to the organisers on May 30th.
