We are pleased to announce the launch of a new funding project – SU Community Chest. This fund has been set up to create and support student led initiatives at Cardiff Met, around student community and positive wellbeing. As a result of the HEFCW funding which was allocated specifically to SU’s in Higher Education that have been affected by the global pandemic, we are able to provide our students at Cardiff Met the opportunity to create their own projects, which they believe can make a positive difference in their community. The two main aims of the SU Community Chest, is to create a sense of community within Cardiff Met or the wider area, along with improving student wellbeing. With a maximum grant of up to £2,000, we ask you, our students to be creative and use your voice. We encourage you to think about what would work for your group, whether that be a SU society, Rep team, sports club, course team, student volunteers or a group of students with similar interests. This is your chance to make a positive difference for your community. As a SU, we are looking forward to receiving your applications. We will be looking to provide a response within 5 working days to ensure that your projects have an impact as soon as possible. Please read the guidance document carefully before submitting, and any further questions can directed to our Student Union inbox: studentunion@cardiffmet.ac.uk
